The Jay and Silent Bob Reboot trailer is here!
San Diego Comic-Con kicks off today, and what better way to start things off then with a new trailer debuting! SDCC is known for their trailer debuts, but this was one I was particularly looking forward to with the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot!

ConanCon kicked off TONIGHT!
We are here in San Diego for Comic-Con! And as you know, no SDCC experience would be complete without CONAN!
We kicked things off tonight at The Spreckles Theater as Conan welcomed the cast of IT: Chapter 2! As tradition with every ConanCon, Team Coco teamed up with Funko to create 4 special CONAN Funko Pops! Tonight we left with the Pennywise Conan.
Aside from the great cast and Funko giveaway, the intro to this year's show was incredible with Conan in a "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" parody! Check out the intro video below and make sure you're following me on Instagram @timdrake42 to see everything happening at SDCC and CONANCON!

Film Editor Dody Dorn Voted To Academy Board Of Governors
News from The Academy of Motion Pictures broke today after a run off election. Film Editor, Dody Dorn has been voted to the Academy Board of Governors. Read The Academy's Official Press release below.

ACADEMY BOARD OF GOVERNORS IN RUNOFF ELECTION
LOS ANGELES, CA – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced that Dody Dorn has won the runoff election for the open Film Editors Branch seat on the 2019–20 Board of Governors. Dorn joins incumbents Carol Littleton and Michael Tronick in representing the branch and will assume her post as of July 1.
Dorn and Mark Goldblatt tied for the seat in the Board election last week, and Film Editors Branch members were asked to vote in the runoff. This is the fifth time in Academy history that a tie occurred in the balloting. Runoff elections were held in 2009 in the Directors Branch, 2015 in the Writers Branch, 2016 in the Film Editors Branch, and 2018 in the Producers Branch.
The Academy’s 17 branches are each represented by three governors, who may serve up to three consecutive three-year terms. The Board of Governors sets the Academy’s strategic vision, preserves the organization’s financial health, and assures the fulfillment of its mission.

The Academy and ABC announce Oscars 2022 Date and More
The 2019 Oscar Season is just a few months away and now we know the dates for the Oscars through 2022 on ABC. We also have learned more of The Academy's key dates for the upcoming voting season, as well at the submission time frame for the Science and Technical Awards in 2020. LOS ANGELES, CA — The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC today announced the 2022 Oscars® show date and confirmed the 2021 date. Upcoming Oscars show dates are as follows:
Timing of the 2022 Olympics, the Super Bowl and national holidays will keep the 2021 and 2022 dates on the last Sunday in February. The Academy and ABC continue to evaluate dates for future years.
The Oscars ceremony is broadcast live at 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. ET on the ABC Television Network and globally in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.

I first met Eddie and Ryan very briefly in passing during my time at Meltdown when Historical Roasts and Fictional Roasts were regular shows at NerdMelt. However, this was the first time we've actually sat down and talked and it was such a great time!

Guinevere and Mary are best known for writing and directing the hit film, "American Psycho", and their new film "Charlie Says" is in theaters now! I was so incredibly excited to talk with Guinevere and Mary as "American Psycho" is one of my favorite films. I actually didn't know I would be talking to Mary on this episode. As soon as I hung up with Guinevere, their publicist let me know they actually had Mary for me as well an hour later.
