15 Documentary Feature Films Advance in 2014 Oscar Race


The Oscar race for Documentary Feature Films has been narrowed down to 15 films.


I've had the great opportunity of seeing a handful of the documentary's during the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. This is an incredibly tough race for the Oscar Nomination. Here is your list of the 15 films still in consideration in the category of Documentary Feature Film.

"Life Itself," Kartemquin Films and Film Rites

"Virunga," Grain Media

The Academy's Documentary Branch will now compile a shortlist in a preliminary round of voting. Branch members will narrow the list of 15 down to 5 nominees that will be announced January 15th.
