Episode 103 - New York City (Part 2)

On today's episode, I sat down with Christopher James in our hotel in New York City to cover Part 2 of our visit!

Visiting the Brooklyn Bridge

We had such an incredible time in New York City, and can't wait to return. The final day I pretty much walked Christopher to death, making sure that I could show him all that Lower Manhattan had to offer. We walked 14 miles in just a matter of 5 hours! I paid for it a few days later, but as we recorded this episode, Christopher was exhausted and ready to kill me.

On the episode, we talked about our visit to the Seinfeld Diner (Tom's Restaurant), visiting Times Square, Christopher almost getting conned by a Monk, cruising down the Hudson to see the Statue of Liberty, attend the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, getting to talk to Colbert, Midtown Comics, Central Park, and so much more!

Star Wars 40th Anniversary

HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY, STAR WARS!

It's crazy to think that 40 years ago today, a film with start a craze that would impact millions of lives to come over the next 4 decades and more. Star Wars has of course had a huge impact on my life, my friends and families lives. It's something that all of us have been able to bond with since we were kids, and still bond over today. I always love seeing the picture of the crowds at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood rushing to see A New Hope in 1977.

The excitement of more Star Wars films and the upcoming Star Wars Land at Disneyland is everything we ever wanted as a kid. I can't believe this all started 40 years ago. I can't wait to see what the next 40 years of Star Wars holds. Thanks, George Lucas for creating something that changed the world and changed our life.

Happy 40th, Star Wars!

Bobby Moynihan, Vanessa Bayer, and Sasheer Zamata are leaving SNL

Tonights season finale of Saturday Night Live becomes a bittersweet farewell to three of our SNL favorites. It's been announced that Bobby Moynihan, Vanessa Bayer, and Sasheer Zamata will leave the show after tonights episode, hosted by The Rock.

We are bummed to see the three of them depart the show as they have created some of our favorite characters, with Drunk Uncle and Jacob the Bar Mitzvah Boy. I don't feel that Sasheer ever really got the screen time that she deserved on the show.

While we're sad to see them leave, we know that they will continue to have incredible careers. Thanks for making us laugh on SNL over the years, Bobby, Vanessa, and Sasheer!

On today's episode, we recap Day 1 of our time in New York City!

I sat down with Christopher James at our hotel, Pod 51, in New York to talk about our incredible experiences during our first day in town. This is Christopher's first time in New York, but I had a great time being able to show him around the city. He's absolutely terrified of rats and is convinced he's going to see one, and for my own sadistic humor sake, I really hope he does.

Welcome to 30 Rock

HBO Offices NYC

On top of the Empire State Building

During our Day 1 recap, we talk about Christopher's bad flight experience, arriving to the city, our new hotel, visiting NBC Studios and 30 Rock, the Empire State Building, talking to Seth Meyers, and so much more!

At Late Night with Seth Meyers

This first day was absolutely incredible! Day 2 and 3 and so much packed into them as well. Stay tuned for Part 2 of our New York coverage in next weeks episode! Check out our social media pages for all of the pictures and updates from our time in New York City.

Enjoy the episode!

Today is the day all of us here at On the Mic have been waiting for! Blink-182 is releasing the much anticipated Deluxe version of their Grammy nominated album, 'California'.

Rumors have it that people in the Blink camp think this Deluxe version may even be better than the original version of 'California'. If the first two singles from the Deluxe, "Parking Lot" and "Misery", are any indication of what we can expect from the album, this deluxe is going to be incredible!

If you haven't heard these first two singles, check out the lyric videos below! You can also pick up the album in stores and on iTunes now! Enjoy!
