Episode 16 - The Loveumentary with Nate Bagley

In this new episode I sat down with one of my longtime friends, Nate Bagley.

I talked to Nate about a new project that he has been working on called "The Loveumentary". I first saw Nate posting on Facebook about this project last fall and it quickly caught my attention. I talked with Nate about what the Loveumentary is and how it got started. Nate's goal with The Loveumentary was to find out if true love still existed.

Nate and Melissa

Nate teamed up with Melissa Joy Kong, who was in the process of writing a book about true love stories,  and the two set out on a cross country journey to document the greatest love stories our country had to offer.

Nate and I get a little deep on this episode about what makes a successful relationship and how people can really try and find happiness and true love. Nate and Melissa have been featured on Good Morning America, ABC Nightly News, Reddit, Business Insider, GQ, The Atlantic, and more!

With the success of The Loveumentary and Nate's continual study of true love, Nate joined up with another one of our High School classmates, Steve Boyer, to create "Unbox Love".

Steve and Nate unveiling their prototype for "Unbox Love".

"Unbox Love" is a great project that will offer couples a monthly "date in a box" to help add some spontaneity and spice to their relationships.

I was thrilled to catch up with Nate and find out about what he's been up to and learn all about "The Loveumentary" and "Unbox Love". Nothing excited me more than seeing my friends succeed and follow their dreams. Both of these projects are so incredible and inspiring and I can only wish Nate, Melissa, and Steve the best in these endeavors. Check out the links below to learn all about "The Loveumentary" and "Unbox Love".

Thank you Nate Bagley for taking the time out of your busy schedule to join me for this interview.

Episode 15 - Pete Holmes

In this new episode of On the Mic, I had the great opportunity to talk with one of my favorite comedians, Pete Holmes.

Pete Holmes

I talked with Pete about his new show, The Pete Holmes Show. The Pete Holmes Show debuted on October 28, 2013, and returns to TBS for a new run of shows on February 24th. I talked with Pete about how the show got started, working on the Warner Lot, working with Conan, comedy and more.

The Pete Holmes Show airs weeknights on TBS at Midnight following Conan

I first discovered Pete with his debut stand up album, Impregnated With Wonder that was released in 2011.

Shortly after discovering Pete's stand up, I began listening to his comedy podcast, You Made It Weird, which quickly became one of my favorite podcast I listen to.

Last year Pete released his follow up stand up album, Nice Try, The Devil.

If you haven't heard Pete's stand up, podcast or watched The Pete Holmes Show, you're missing out. Check them all out now.

Thank you to Pete Holmes for taking the time to talk with me about The Pete Holmes Show. It was great to talk to Pete and get some great insight from him on a life in comedy and entertainment.

Make sure to watch The Pete Holmes Show as it returns to TBS on February 24th, weeknights following Conan.

Episode 13 - Moneypenny

On this new episode I sat down with the band Moneypenny.

This was my first time meeting the full band. I knew Ryan and Steve-O from their previous band Postcards Home that I had a hand in managing. Since the split of Postcards Home in 2009, Ryan and Steve-O went on to join the band Moneypenny. Unfortunately their lead singer Isaac couldn't join us for this episode but their new drummer Nic came along as well.

We talked about their new self-titled album that was released a few weeks back, as well as their upcoming tour, SXSW, and crazy band stories. Moneypenny is signed to Wisemove Records out of Australia.

Thanks to Moneypenny for joining me on this episode. Also Thanks to Gavin Pouquette for sitting in with us to take some pictures during the interview. It was great to catch up with Moneypenny and find out what they've been up to for the last few years. Go pick up their album on iTunes or at your local record store, and go see them on tour this Spring.
