On this new episode of On the Mic I talked with comedian and podcaster, Krissie Shelley!

I first met Krissie at an open mic a little over a year ago, and we would see each other at WiseGuys Comedy from time to time, but we had never actually talked with each other until now.

It was great to talk with Krissie and learn about how she started in comedy, where she finds her comedy inspiration, trying to find her own identity, intentionally getting kicked out of BYU-Idaho, moving to Utah, her podcast The Totally Real Podcast That Is Real and so much more!

Darth Vader PS4 hits stores this November

The release of Star Wars: Battlefront this November just became even cooler with the announcement of the special Darth Vader PS4!

Sony announced at D23 today that the Darth Vader PS4 themes console will be released with Star Wars: Battlefront this November. The Darth Vader console will come in two different incredible bundle packages. The first bundle package will feature the deluxe version of Star Wars: Battlefront and the second bundle will feature the "Saga Starter Pack" of Disney Infinity 3.0 and a special version of Battlefront with exclusives such as Han's blaster! The Infinity started pack comes with both of the Infinity playsets for the prequel and original Star Wars, as well as a Boba Fett Infinity figure. 

The special edition bundles hit stores on November 17th! Don't miss out on these awesome bundle packs.

Official Trailer for 'Trumbo' starring Bryan Cranston released

The Official Trailer for the Dalton Trumbo biopic, Trumbo, starring Bryan Cranston has been released!

Trumbo follow the life of Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo as his career comes crashing down when he is blacklisted by the Hollywood community in the 1940's for being a Communist. 

The cast for this film is packed with Oscar winners, Emmy winners, and amazing actors all-around. Along side Cranston, Trumbo co-stars Diane Lane, Helen Mirren, Louis C.K., Elle Fanning, John Goodman and Michael Stuhlbarg. 

The trailer is absolutely intriguing and has me excited to see what this film will do as it's released during the prime of Oscar season. Check it out!

Zach Galifianakis as Lego Joker!

The Lego Batman Movie finally has it's Joker! It has been reported that Zach Galifianakis it set to sign on to voice the beloved villain, pending final negotiations.

The Lego Batman Movie'is a spin-off from last years hit Lego Movie, however it will not be Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller as they are busy with other projects. The Lego Batman Movie will be Directed by Chris Mckay, who was the animation supervisor on the original Lego Movie. We absolutely loved the first Lego Movie and can't wait for this spin-off! 

Other cast members that have been announced are Will Arnett returning as the voice of Batman and Michael Cera as the voice of Robin. 

The Lego Batman Movie is set to hit theaters May 26, 2017!

Is Bill Murray putting the jumpsuit back on in the Ghostbusters reboot?

The Ghostbuster rumor mills are swirling today with the news that Bill Murray will be returning in the Ghostbusters reboot.

When the Ghostbuster reboot rumors initially started a few years back, Bill Murray wanted nothing to do with the films, but it looks like he finally caved! 

We still don't know what kind of role Bill Murray will have, but whatever it is we can't wait to see it! One thing we do know, is that he WILL NOT be playing the role of his beloved character Peter Venkmen as the reboot is not a sequel to the previous two films. Whatever the role is that he ends up playing, Ghostbuster fans around the world can rejoice! Welcome back to the Ghostbusters universe, Bill Murray! 

2015 Salt Lake Comic Con Superhero Run!

The Superhero Run returns to Salt Lake Comic Con this year! 

Here are the details on the run via the Salt Lake Comic Con webstie:

The 2015 Superhero Run will be held on September 26, 2015. Proceeds will benefit the construction of the new Specialty Hospital of Utah (formerly South Davis Community Hospital). Join the forces for good and come dressed as your favorite comic book character. Join thousands of comic book characters for spectacular kick-off for the final day of Salt Lake Comic Con 2015. Come be a superhero for the patients and families who need this hospital!

The 2015 Superhero Run will be held in Salt Lake City with a start and finish line at the Salt Palace Convention Center. The route will appeal to all ability levels.

The Mega One Mile and 5K will be timed electronically and winners will be presented in each age category. Winners will also be selected from “Why I Run” submissions, and Facebook Video Challenges. Not to mention best costume! Heroes and Villains welcome. Comic characters encouraged.

Registration includes wristband access to Runners Lounge (refreshments and vendors), comic green screen photo ops, Superhero Runner/Comic Con T-shirt and race decal.

This is not only a run, but a celebration complete with Live Music, Superheroes, Photo Booths, and treats from our great sponsors and vendors. So please plan to spend a few extra minutes celebrating with us after the run.

Post run events will end at 10:00 a.m.

Thank You, Jon Stewart!

I've never missed an episode of The Daily Show since I first discovered it in 2003. It's been a staple of my comedy viewing for almost 13 years. It seems strange to think that after tonight's episode, Jon Stewart will leave us with his final moment of zen and retire from The Daily Show. Jon Stewart will forever remain a major influence to my comedy writing and a big part of why I chose to start studying comedy writing and eventually enroll with Second City last December. When I co-wrote the My House on The Moon book in 2013, Jon Stewart's book Naked Pictures of Famous People was a huge influence to my writing and insight for the book. Now with all of Jon's free time maybe we can get a fourth book out of him!

Without rambling on too much longer and making this sound more like a eulogy for Jon Stewart than it should, I really just want to say Thank You. Thank You, Jon Stewart for delivering top notch comedy for over 17 years and being an inspiration not just to me, but to millions of comedy fans around the world. I can't wait to see what's next for you and look forward to your next endeavor. Thank You, Jon Stewart. And Best Wishes.

Gamer's unite! Salt Lake Gaming Con kicks of this Thursday, August 6th and runs through the 8th at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy, Utah!

Salt Lake Gaming Con will feature 3 full days of gaming with over 25,000 gamer's in attendance.

Salt Lake Gaming Con will feature of variety of panels & special guests from video games designers, pro-players, multiple gaming consoles and platforms, gaming tournaments and so much more.
